The GreenCube

The GreenCube project is an ongoing research of how to relate to our food, organic waste and social environment. The prototype was built as a part of my graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2009, and has been tested in different urban environments.

The GreenCube enables inner city inhabitants to recycle their organic waste into nutrition rich wormcompost. The wormcompost can in turn be used to fertilize urban vegetable gardens and balconies. The goal is to offer a meaningful hobby by letting several tenants sharing a single GreenCube in the streets. I believe that there lies enormous value in coming closer to the natural world of food production and the people in your environment.
